The Thomas H. Maren Junior Investigators Fund provides seed money for promising post-doctoral fellows in the College of Medicine. Award amount is $25,000 per year for two years (2nd year contingent on 1st year progress). It is anticipated that one or two awards will be given in 2011.
Eligibility
- Must be a post-doctoral fellow (with a PhD and/or MD) in a College of Medicine department
- Must have at least two (2) but no more than four (4) years of post-doctoral training
- Must have demonstrated productivity as a post-doctoral fellow (awards, presentations and publications)
- Mentor must have ample resources to support proposed project
Application Instructions
- Submit Letter of Intent (LOI) to Karen Pastos (pastos@ufl.edu) no later than Tuesday, October 5th, 2010
- LOIs will be reviewed, and up to ten (10) full proposals will be invited on or around November 1st, 2010
- Invited full proposals will be due on or around January 3rd, 2011
