Federal proposal submissions restricted during Grants.gov downtime September 22-30, 2022

From September 22-30, 2022 Grants.gov, the federal-wide portal for accepting federal grant submissions will be offline.  No federal proposals can be submitted during this time.  Please note the following additional information:

  • NIH due dates during this time will move to Monday, October 3, 2022.  Additional information can be found at https://nexus.od.nih.gov/all/2022/08/03/extended-grants-gov-downtime-impacts-september-22-30-due-dates/ and https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-22-190.html.  UF’s internal deadline will be Friday, September 30, 2022 for all of these proposals.
  • UFIRST will not be able to pull in opportunity announcements during the downtime period.  We strongly recommend creating all proposals you wish to work on BEFORE September 22.  You will then be able to work on the proposal during the time Grants.gov is down.  Please keep in mind that the change in deadline also moves the deadline for these proposals very close to the heavy October 5 NIH deadline.  So we also recommend starting your proposals with an October 5 deadline early as well, being sure to upload the opportunity announcement prior to the Grants.gov system downtime.
  • Information on other federal proposal deadlines during this time will be released as information becomes available.

Please send any questions about this to ufproposals@ufl.edu or call 352-392-9267.
