Faculty Award Winners

Every year, distinguished College of Medicine faculty are nominated by their peers based on research and mentoring excellence.The Dr. Mavis Agbandje-McKenna Distinguished Research Mentoring Award recognizes exceptional efforts by a faculty member at least 10 years into their research and/or academic career who has provided outstanding research mentoring to students, trainees, research associates and/or faculty. The Rising Star Researcher Awards are given to researchers at the Assistant Professor level to recognize exceptional research. Lastly, the Outstanding Research Scientist Awards are given to researchers at the rank of Associate Professor or above whose discoveries have contributed to the understanding of the fundamental underlying principles of biology and medicine in the basic or translational Sciences or made a significant impact in the fields of Artificial Intelligence/Data Science or the delivery of patient care through Clinical, Artificial Intelligence or Data Sciences.
